Phoenix Deaths Ruled Murder/Suicide. Motive Under Investigation
About 2 a.m. Saturday, Phoenix police responded to a shooting near 26th Street and Clarendon Avenue in Phoenix.
Witnesses told the officers they'd heard people arguing and then gunshots.
The responding officers found 27-year-old Paco Parra lying in the road with injuries. He was taken to the County Hospital where he later died. A handgun was found next to his body.
During the course of the investigation, detectives found another wounded man in front of 2475 East Clarendon Avenue.
That man, identified as 25-year-old Rico Guy, was also taken to the County Hospital, where he also died.
Following a medical exam this morning, police have ruled the deaths to be a murder/suicide.
Police believe the two men got into an argument in the driveway of the aforementioned address. Parra, police believe, ended the argument by fatally shooting Guy. Parra ran from the scene, and apparently fatally shot himself.
Police still have no motive for the shooting, and say the relationship between the two men is still under investigation.
