As if having a laptop full of kiddy porn wasn't enough, cops say a man was sharing his cruel collection of exploited children with the rest of the Internet from his Laveen home.

Police say they arrested 22-year-old Jeffrey Eberlein about 3 p.m. Wednesday, after an undercover investigation revealed he was possessing and distributing pictures depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, police were scouring transfers across the Gnutella peer-to-peer network in December, which they say is known to be used for sharing of kiddy porn across the 'Net.

Cops noticed an I.P. address, found to be assigned to a home in the 6600 block of South 57th Avenue in Laveen, sharing a hell of a lot of child pornography.

The documents state police noticed the files he was sharing "had titles consistent with images depicting the sexual exploitation of minors," so cops say they downloaded the pictures straight from Eberlein.

A police detective "examined" the images, and sure enough, it was a bunch of child pornography -- including two images depicting "adult males performing sex acts on very small children."

After Qwest forked over the physical address of the home, the Arizona Crimes Against Children Task Force served a warrant on the Laveen house, where Eberlein was living with three roommates.

Among the items seized from Eberlein's room was, of course, a laptop with a kiddy porn folder right on the desktop.

Police say the folder contained "numerous images of minors engaged in sex acts or exploitive exhibition of their genitals."

They then went to a pediatrician with the pictures, who verified that 10 of the children in the pictures were under the age of 15.

Eberlein's roommates kicked him out of the Laveen house after he told them what the cops were going to find on the computer, and went into hiding when he heard police were looking for him.

Detectives arrested Eberlein Wednesday as he pulled into his new apartment complex in the 3300 block of East Van Buren Street in Phoenix.

Eberlein was booked into the Madison Street Jail on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, all felonies.
