The Glendale Police Department is actively searching for the person responsible for shooting a man in front of his house last night.

About 8 p.m. yesterday, 9-1-1 dispatchers received several calls reporting gunshots were fired near 53rd Avenue and Greenway Road.

As officers were arriving on the scene, dispatchers received another call from a woman saying her husband had been shot in front of their home.

Officers found the wounded man lying on the ground in front of his house. He was taken to a Valley trauma center with life threatening injuries.

Police have no suspects in the case, but are still in the early stages of the investigation.

Anyone with info about the shooting is asked to call the Glendale Police Department.
