Andrew Thomas Wants to Soak State for $23.5 Million; Former Elected Official Already has $23.5 Million Claim Vs. County

Andrew Thomas: Future taxpayer-funded jackpot winner?

Andrew Thomas, former Maricopa County Attorney, aspires to be one of the wealthiest ex-politicians in the United States, it would seem by his latest legal claim.

The Arizona Republic reports that Thomas has filed a $23.5 million claim against the state, on top of the $23.5 million claim he already filed against the county. The latter claim, as we reported a couple of weeks ago, is combined with $36.5 million in claims by fired deputy county attorney Lisa Aubuchon and Sheriff Joe Arpaio's chief deputy, David Hendershott, who's on administrative leave for alleged crimes and other mischief.

The Repub doesn't link to the document, but says Thomas is peeved at the investigation conducted against him by John Gleason, a lawyer appointed to the task by the state Supreme Court.

"Gleason's investigation and findings were intended to maliciously retaliate against Thomas for doing his job as county attorney and for treating members of the state judiciary and Board of Supervisors the same as he has treated all other citizens," the claim reportedly states.

Just another Thomas lie.

The facts show that Thomas ignored discrepancies in the campaign finance disclosure forms of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, yet charged County Supervisor Don Stapley with multiple felony charges for similar discrepancies.

Then, while accusing his political enemies of a criminal conspiracy, Thomas conspired with Hendershott and Aubuchon to charge a respected Superior Court judge with bribery. No investigation had been conducted, and charge wasn't supported by a single piece of evidence.

And now Thomas wants millions of dollars from taxpayers.

Don't worry -- the farce will end someday.

My opinion was not so much about the revocation of a degree because he was about to save face for the university. But this is not Harvard. He is the person who caused these problems. Thomas had the world by the tail.traffic ticket attorney

If this case about Mr. Saggy Scrotum's disclosure forms is closed, the extensive investigation that MCAO did to see that this did not pan out should be evidence of selective prosecution. Or was there even a case number assigned?

Reading this current claim of Andrew P. Thomas, Esquire (for now) leads me to believe that I should sue the state for millions because of the humiliation and public ridicule I received as a result of a traffic ticket.

I would never advocate violence against Mr. Thomas. However, I believe that Harvard University could justify action against Thomas to repossess his law degree, even forcefully. Andrew Thomas could be a poster boy to promote Yale's law school. In the end it is not the school, but the person.

Harvard does not revoke your diploma unless they can prove fraud in obtaining entrance to the school. Although the Kennedy School did revoke the degree obtained by the Russian spy in 2000 under a false name

the university has not revoked the degrees awarded Alger Hiss, George W. Bush, Bill O'Reilly, the Unibomber, or the professor at the University of Alabama-Huntsville who shot up the faculty meeting.

You are correct Lars. My statement was not as much about revoking a degree as it was about saving face for the university. But it is not Harvard. It is the person that caused these problems. Thomas had the world by the tail. But his process of thinking is terribly flawed, maybe even fatally flawed.

Don't worry about it, Gerry C - Andrew Thomas will be in jail before you know it.Can you fucking believe that the jerk would have the gall to sue us, the people of Arizona, for $10 million in punitive damages for failing to elect him to the office of Attorney General?? What's up with that??

Andy, take your wife and children and move them to somewhere where they will be ok - (Honduras? Ask Dave H!!) If you stay in Arizona it is likely that you will be tarred and feathered, and that your family will suffer a great deal of humiliation on your behalf. None of us want to see your children harmed - so move them out of Arizona.

Now, on the next page, there is how we feel about you... how DARE you file a suit with $10 million in "punitive damages" against the people of the State of Arizona? HOW DARE YOU, you little punk ass weasle???

You are trying to sue the people of Arizona because we don't want your sorry hide in office anywhere in OUR state?

Fuck you, Candy Andy.

Just FUCK YOU!

Sarcasm showing below:

Wherewasi, Your post is clear and convincing proof that the Bar Investigators have behaved in a way to make you biased against Mister Thomas. The evil bar investigators have even brainwashed you into believing that Tar and Feather treatment is appropriate for Andy Thomas.

Thomas is a malignant tumor that just won't go away. Eventually, we will get this excised. There is a pretty strong chance that neither the state or the county will settle with Thomas. It might be cost-effective to settle, but I suspect that it will be litigated.

Thomas is unbelievable in his apparent delusions that he was doing right. Or, he is a good actor.

What I said was stupid. I don't believe Thomas's claim will be litigated. I believe it will be dismissed and dismissed and dismissed.

He'll get his millions as a reward for being and doing what he was told to do. They will settle with him instead of going to court where his deeds would be exposed and so would those of others who don't necessarily want to partake in the circus and be seen as clowns. The bad people in authority win and we the slaves must pay. It's all upside down and always has been. It's just so much more blatant now. Look to the highest office in the nation and tell me it's not.

WTF

so he's suing the state supreme court, the very same people that at the end can save his day gig or put him in jail.....nice!!!

keep digging the hole idiot.

Andy should be careful what he gets himself into. Once he's a litigant, everything can come out into the open and nothing's off limits. He better not get a penny of my tax money.

Well if he collects, I surely hope he moves out of state; there are ALOT of angry gun owners around here Mr. Thomas....
