John Boehner Releases Statement on Giffords Shooting, Doesn't Cry

Speaker John Boehner issued the statement in the video below after the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords on Saturday. Boehner's brief, unemotional comments were a far cry from his typical sob fest.

The Speaker is perhaps best known for tearing up whenever he opens his mouth to talk about political victory, the Iraq War, children, or the American dream. Evidently his colleague, Democratic U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords and the six who were killed in Saturday's mass murder, including a 9-year-old girl, weren't enough to squeeze out an expected tear or two.
