Authorities Looking for Jared Loughner's Mysterious Black Bag
|Authorities are looking for a black bag Jared Loughner's believed to have removed from a vehicle owned by his family on the morning of Saturday's tragedy in Tucson.|
In an update provided by Pima County Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Jason Ogan, the PCSO confirms that Loughner was stopped by an officer from the Arizona Game and Fish Department about 7:30 on the morning of the massacre.
Loughner, the PCSO confirms, was stopped for a red light violation and issued a verbal warning.
Later that day, the PCSO confirms, Randy Loughner watched as his son removed a black bag from the trunk of a vehicle owned by the family. When the elder Loughner questioned his murderous son about the contents of the bag, Jared Loughner began running away from his father on foot.
Randy Loughner jumped in his truck to follow his son, but the younger Loughner disappeared into the desert.
Jared Loughner, as many now know, later hopped in cab that took him to Gabrielle Giffords' "Congress on the Corner" event, at which he allegedly murdered six people and wounded six others -- including Giffords.
Authorities are looking for that black bag.
The PCSO also confirms several reports of chilling notes found in a safe in Loughner's home.
In those notes, Loughner's suspected of scrawling the words "Giffords," "my assassination," and "I planned ahead."
In addition to those notes previously reported by New Times, the PCSO says it found additional notes, in which Loughner is believed to have written "fuck you pigs," and "die, bitch."
The notes were accompanied by what authorities believe is Loughner's signature.
