Arizona lawmakers engage in bipartisanship
After swiftly moving through the state Senate and the House of Representatives, a bill that makes it illegal to protest or picket within 300 feet of funerals is making its way to Governor Jan Brewer, who is expected to sign the measure into law.

Lawmakers jumped into action -- with bipartisan spirit -- to protect the families of those who lost their lives during the January 8 shooting spree in Tucson after learning that members of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, planned to protest the funeral services of victims from Saturday's shootings.

Senator Kyrsten Sinema tells New Times that the bill was crafted to protect individuals' right to free speech while also protecting grieving families' right to be free of indimidation and harassment.

The proposed law -- Senate Bill 1101 and House Bill 2101 -- would make it a class 1 misdemeanor to protest within 300 feet of a funeral or burial service at a cemetery, funeral home, church or synagogue one hour before or after the services.

When that hag Shirley phelps gets beaten to death by someone that's had enough of her intimidation and hate mongering, I hope various gay rights groups protest her funeral. I hope the activities list includes a half hour of vigorous deep tounge kissing and holding signs that say Fags hate phelps. What a vile bitch. If a muslim woman did the same shit, but her sign said Allah hates Fags, where would she be sitting right now?

The Reverend Evil Phelps might want to consider further where he is headed. Arizona, and perhaps Tucson as much as anyplace in Arizona, may not be the best place he and his hate mongering pseudo-Christians could display their ignorance and hatred of normal human beings. I certainly hope they don't suffer a fate similar to that innocent nine year old girl. Can you imagine what the plains of Kansas would look like with 100 million decent Americans crowded in on their "church" to protest the funerals of Phelps and his demons?
