Steve Nash Retirement Story Stirs Up Sadness on Planet Orange

This week's New Times feature about the imminent retirement of Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash has received a lot of attention from local -- and national -- news outlets. A lot of people are saying the story is a hoax. But for many Suns fans, the news that their hero is leaving the NBA to pursue a career in Canadian politics has left regions of Planet Orange in a state of sadsies.

Fox 10 did some man-on-the-street interviews last night to get a feel for how the Suns faithful felt about Nash's departure -- people are overwhelmingly bummed out.

One woman even notes that Nash went to the Olympics this year, which were held in Vancouver, British Columbia, where Nash reportedly plans on launching his political career. Because of that fact, the woman says, the story "makes sense,"
