Rapper Earl Simmons, better known as DMX, will remain in jail without bond until his next court appearance on December 9.

Simmons was arrested Thursday night at his home in Cave Creek. He's charged with violating his probation by failing to submit to drug tests, driving with a suspended license, and possession of cocaine and Oxycontin without a prescription. He appeared in Maricopa County Superior Court this morning, where he denied the charges.

Last week marked Simmons' sixth arrest in Maricopa County; he was placed on probation last year for attempted aggravated assault and using a false identity to avoid paying medical bills.

Prior to his latest arrest, Simmons was attempting a career comeback. He played at the Venue of Scottsdale on November 12, and has a new single, "Ya'll Don't Know," available from basquiatmusic.com.

Simmons' manager, Nakia Walker, told New Times that they're waiting to see the outcome of his next court date before resuming comeback plans, but that no matter what happens, the new music Simmons has already recorded will be released early next year.

Unfortunately, Simmons may be sharing his new music from the confines of jail.
