Tempe Police Release Information on Suspects in Murder of ASU Student

Zachary Marco
The Tempe Police Department today -- in the wake of criticism over how it's handling several unsolved murder cases -- released details about the suspects in the murder of a 21-year-old Arizona State University student.

Zachary Marco was shot near University Drive and Rural Road about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday October 17.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police received a tip at the scene of the shooting that two black males may have been involved. The two men left the scene before police got there.

According to police, the motive for the shooting still is under investigation, and investigators are treating the case as a homicide.

Today, police released descriptions of the two suspects.

The shooter in Marco's murder is described as a black male in his early 20s. He's about six feet tall, with a thin build and a short hair cut. At the time of the murder, he was wearing a white tee-shirt, blue shorts, and a red bandana on his head.

The second suspect is described as a 25-year-old black male. He's about five-foot-nine, with a medium build. At the time of the murder, he was wearing a dark T-shirt.

Police say both suspects fled the scene in a newer model, dark colored, smaller four-door sedan. No license-plate information is available, police say.

Last week, Marco's father, a defense attorney, publicly offered the accomplice in the slaying a deal: if the accomplice turns himself in and provids the identity of the shooter, Marco's father will make sure he gets the best defense possible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO A COMPLEX PROBLEMScience requires any formula/process to be identifiable and repeatable. The Law of Self-preservation may well be at the root of random murders, massacres & or suicides. The below mentioned process makes possible the survival of the fittest. Preparation is the key. When confronted by would-be criminals, unprepared intended-victims feel physically and/or psychologically threatened. When the conscious ego is threatened, bruised and/or punctured due to fear and/or danger, a window opens to the unconscious & exposes a negative energy pocket, which projects, absorbs and/or mirrors negative self-images to others. Ironically, the Law of Self-preservation innately compels the would-be criminal to destroy the negative self-image mirrored by the unprepared intended-victim. Is this the answer to the heart-felt question WHY when senseless carnage takes place? The below mentioned wording/programming generates the alpha wave shield of positive energy that can be imbedded on a subliminal level and coupled with the triggering mechanism of the conscious ego being threatened, bruised and/or punctured due to fear and/or danger. We share one universal mind, one humanity and one planet. Therefore, what we do to another, we in turn do to ourselves. And what we do to ourselves, we in turn do to others(this wording aids in preventing suicide).Had our circumstances in life been reversed,Then our positions now too, would be reversed.Let us have only love, compassion and understandingFor one another, for we are all a part of each other. This process when activated subliminally mirrors a positive self-esteem self-image to others, thus aborting the stress/crime encounter."http://mysite.verizon.net/bizt..." bettycalter1956.net@verizon.netRespectfully,Comment by Elizabeth Mehan Calter

This is the sadest news along with the young girl that was killed as well. I don't know what's going on and who these people think they are killing people over laptops and cell phones, but they are scumb of the earth and I hope when they get caught, the prosecutor goes for the death penalty. I am an ASU student as well, and college kids shouldn't have to worry about douches pulling guns for their possessions. I guess it's always easier to steal things from people that work for them, but stealing is one thing, but killing and taking the life of someone else is quite another. I hope they burn in hell.

Tempe Cops couldnt find their asshole if the mayor wasnt there to show it to them. Especially Tempes warrant squad.....no skills. Better turn the investigation over to DPS and the FBI boys and girls, your team sucks.

Hope you find the 2 niggers. Red bandana huh......give you a clue?

They probably hesitated to describe the suspects because the suspects are black. P.C.

They only want to release information in wake of the criticism????? Seriously?

Could do without the racism here but you certainly have a point about Tempe PD... not that DPS can do much better. There comes a point in the growth cycle of all cities where their municipal services either evolve or become obsolete. This "town" called Maricopa has been a corrupt backwater ratfuck of a place for so long that people are just starting to realize how fucked up the police services (i.e. sheriffs dept) are. They can pull over vehicles and hand out DUI's all day long, but a professional police department requires much more. The only thing I could recommend is stop hiring Prom King rejects from the midwest and refill the departments laterally from larger east coast cities (forget LA.. those guys have been fucked for a long time). I can't wait to see how these guys handle the passing of prop 203. It should be a non-issue for them but I can see the bullets whizzing over publicly-smoked joints now. At least the blue-hairs feel safe.
