A man was found shot to death in a Phoenix hotel room yesterday morning and police don't have a whole lot to go on in terms of finding out who did it.

Around 3 a.m. yesterday, people heard gun shots in the Premier Inns near I-17 and Peoria Avenue.

Security at the hotel checked the room where the gunshots were heard and found the body of a man shot to death.

The security guard called police, who apparently didn't find too much evidence.

"At this time, there is not much for the detectives to go on," Phoenix Sergeant Tommy Thompson says.

Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide but need the public's help in finding out who did it.

If anyone has any information about the shooting they're asked to call
the Phoenix Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141 or call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.  The number is 480-TESTIGO for Spanish.
