Jan Brewer's Best Decision to Date: No More Debates

What's that, Jan? You look there's something you wanna say.
KTAR radio host Larry Gaydos often describes Governor Jan Brewer as being  "intellectually bankrupt." While we often find Gaydos' assessment fairly accurate, Brewer reaffirmed today what might be considered the best decision of her political career: no more debates.

Rather than allow an opportunity to redeem herself for her ghastly performance in last week's faceoff (which we'll show you, yet again, after the jump) Brewer pledged again today to not participate in another debate.

"They know what Terry Goddard stands for, and they know what Jan Brewer stands for, so I'm going to take my message and my information and my plans for the future out to the people in a different venue," Brewer told KTAR this morning.

Hopefully nobody in that "different venue" asks Jan any of the tough questions, like "your opening statement governor?"

"I said long before the first debate that that would be the one that was done -- the one that was required by the Clean Elections Commission -- and that has been done and we will move forward," Brewer continued.

We contacted Brewer's press secretary, Paul Senseman, to hit him with a hypothetical: if a debate were to be organized -- and Jan's opponents each agreed to participate -- would Brewer just sit it out?

As usual, Senseman never got back to us.

We're not sure what's causing Brewer's hesitation to debate her opponents. If you believe conservative pollster Scott Rasmussen, Brewer's poll numbers got a bump after last week's brain fart.

If Rasmussen is to be believed, it seems Jan's best bet would be to schedule a debate, show up in a cheerleader outfit, and nervously giggle her way into four more years as Arizona's governor.

And now -- because it just doesn't get old -- watch Jan's epic moment of silence below.

Jan Brewer is riding high on the tide of HATE. And she needs no further assistance from anyone. The shrew will be governor of AZ., guaranteed. Why spend time in front of those hot studio lights that are only going to further wrinkle up that ghastly cleavage she wastes no opportunity to show off to one and all. Give it up, Jan, no one thinks you're hot. You're old like Sheriff Joe, but thank God he keeps himself concealed in a $99.00 suit. Do the same, eh ??? And just keep doing "what's right for Arizona"... Alienating the State's second most populace ethnic division; ruining any chances for a faster economic improvement; destroying the all too critical tourism industry; promoting racism; and telling lies to the lunatic fuckwads that are your constituents.Jan Brewer, you're such an ASSHOLE.

This reminds me of the old trick the MCSO shurf used with his opponent, Dan Saban (who I think is going to run again).

Of course Mrs. Brewer is apparently being advised by the Flaccid Fool... so no surprises there, eh?

Schedule debates and go forward without her. Each debate would be an opportunity for a 'normal' candidate to gain votes. She is far from 'normal', however, thus it's to her benefit to NOT participate...

Schedule debates, invite her. It's her loss if she chooses to not participate.

How about an Oxford style debate with Goddard and a presumably empty seat? If Brewer doesn't show, put a cardboard cut-out with her mug printed thereon in her place. It might do better than she would.

She wants to be governer but doesn't want to defend her positions. How pathetic is that. All she needs to do is talk about herself and defend her record. Come on Jan, you have been talking tough all these months, time to put up or shut up.

She doesn't just want to be Arizona's Governor....she wants to be Arizona's FINAL Governor. And she doesn't have far to go. She had did so much already.
