Sheriff Joe Arpaio Wins Our Vote for Most Honest Comment of Primary Night

In the stop-the-presses department comes the following comment made during last night's primary election coverage.

Oddly, the truth-telling was attributed to our own local Pinocchio, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, in regards the decisive victory of Bill Montgomery over interim Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley.

"That's going to make my job very easy," Arpaio said of Montgomery's win.

That says all you need to know about Bill Montgomery and what to expect come next January when the card-carrying sycophant presumably will assume his new position (in more ways than one).

Checks and balances inside county law enforcement?

Good old-fashioned give and take?

You're probably going to get sick of seeing my posting about this over the next 2 months, but here goes.... post # 1. WRITE IN RICK ROMLEY FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY ON YOUR BALLOT ON NOVEMBER 2. Tell all of your friends to do the same. Tell them to tell their friends. Put it on your Facebook pages. Twitter it. Post it on every message board you can find. New Times, can you do a cover story about a grass roots drive to keep Romley in office and Arpaio laying down by his dish? Has there ever been a candidate elected by a write in? Think about this... he got 38% (or more?) percent of the die-hard Republican Sheriff Joke party vote. Add all of the Democrats (who do not have their own candidate) and the Independents and the Libs & Green .... he's a shoe in. WE JUST HAVE TO SPREAD THE WORD!
Anyways, Robert, calm down a minute! You have to remember that a lot of people who can't stand the Shurf are registered as Democtrats, Libertarians or Green Party and were not able to vote a Republican Primary ballot. Also, many Independents and "no party preference" may not have known that they COULD. But it's not over yet...

After reading comment after comment of Shurf Joe haters, I have to ask, WTF happened? Obviously none of you got out there and voted. C'mon people!!! I showed up and voted specifically to vote AGAINST Andrew Thomas and Bill Montgomery. Now I feel a little let down by everyone who comments about Joe Asshole and Andrew (wussy) Thomas and all their bullshit. It looks like Horne might barely beat out Thomas for State AG. A very good thing, but if and when Montgomery (Arpaio's puppet) wins out the rest of Thomas' term as county attorney I will be shaking my head in disappointment and disgust. The only thing I have left to look foward is Shurf Joe, and Deputy Dog Henderslob getting kicked out of the MCSO. and Thomas and his buddies all getting dis-barred.
If I recall correctly I think the new county attorney takes office the day after the November election, since the election is held to fill the term of the previous holder, former candidate thomas. Mr. Romley has lots of work to do between now and then to ensure that MCSO won't continue to get away with what it had been with the MCSO shurf and his twin sister, andy, in office. Now, the shurf has his concubine, Bill, to push around. The old guy will die happy. But not soon enough.
