Prison Escapee Caught. No, Not That Escapee, the Other One

Douglas, an inmate serving a 7-and-1/2-year sentence at a minimum-security prison complex near Tucson, walked away from a prison work detail yesterday but was captured this morning, the Arizona Department of Corrections announced today.
Authorities received a tip around 7:00 a.m. from a woman saying she saw someone sleeping under an orange and red blanket less than two miles from where Douglas escaped.
Police responded and the arrested the man, who turned out to be Douglas.
Prior to this morning, Douglas was last seen at 12:05 p.m. yesterday. He checked in with the supervisor of a Tucson city work crew doing landscaping work away from the prison.
By 12:30 p.m., Douglas was gone.
DOC spokesman Barrett Marson told us yesterday that the details of the escape are being investigated.
Douglas' current bid is for theft of means of transportation and misconduct involving a weapon. It's his second stint as a guest of the state -- he previously served three years for theft in the 1980s.
Douglas won't be heading back to the comforts of minimum security, prison officials say he will be taken to the maximum security Browning Unit at the Eyman Prison Complex.
