Morning Poll: Should Major League Baseball Move All-Star Game Out of Arizona?

Categories: Sports?

Most people go to baseball games to unwind and put the real world behind them for a few, brief hours. That's proven to not be the case for protesters opposed to Arizona's controversial, new immigration law. Those people tend to go to games to piss and moan about the law and allow politics to rear its ugly head in a place it has absolutely no business: America's pastime.

Since Governor Jan Brewer signed SB 1070, those opposed to the bill have used any chance they get to let the world know they don't like it -- including protesting the Arizona Diamondbacks wherever they go.

Last we checked, Edwin Jackson and the gang don't have much say over Arizona's immigration policy, but that isn't stopping protesters from using the geographic location of the team's stadium as an excuse to raise a ruckus wherever they go -- as has been the case at several D-Backs games this season, most recently, Sunday night in Washington
D.C.

About three dozen protesters showed up to the game Sunday to do little more than annoy those who were just there to enjoy the game.

Because of the immigration law, there have been calls for MLB Commissioner to move the location of the 2011 All-Star Game from Phoenix to another state to avoid turning Chase Field into a protester-filled mob scene.

We would argue the protesters should be the ones to move their protest -- to, hmmm, perhaps the state capitol, where the people inside are the ones responsible for the law they hate so much.

Like SB 1070 or hate it: politics has NO place in baseball.

That's our opinion, of course, but we want yours: Should Bud Selig move the All-Star Game to avoid protests?

Vote -- and see the results of yesterday's poll -- below.

Yesterday's poll question: Does Aubuchon's Lawsuit Hold any Merit?

- 4 percent say yes.

- 96 percent say no.

Here is your morning poll:
