Morning Poll: Should There be a Fee to Hike Camelback Mountain?

The debate is fueled by -- among other things -- the eight people who needed to be rescued from the mountain on Sunday.
Part of the rationale for the fee is the belief that by charging people to hike the mountain it will keep inexperienced hikers from attempting the climb without the necessary provisions -- namely water.
It will also clear some parking spaces at Echoe Canyon parking area for the real hikers.
Another valid point: ski resorts charge upwards of 70 bucks to play on their mountains.
On the other hand, nobody wants to pay to hike in a public place and it doesn't seem fair to charge people to basically walk around outside.
