Morning Poll: Should John McCain Pull Ad Featuring Sheriff Paul Babeu?

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu
The vicious GOP primary battle between John McCain and J.D. Hayworth goes on. The latest skirmish is over a McCain campaign ad featuring his number-one cheerleader in Arizona law enforcement, Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

Babeu recently called in to a Tennessee-based, white-supremacist radio show to talk about, what else, immigration.

Babeu claims he didn't know the show was run by racists and has since said he regrets the appearance.

Hayworth is using Babeu's participation in the show as an opportunity to bash McCain because Babeu recently appeared in a campaign ad for "The Maverick."

Rather than just come out and say "hey, everybody, John McCain's biggest fan in law enforcement was on a racist radio show," Hayworth disguised the news as some friendly advice to his primary opponent.

Hayworth advised McCain that he needed to "make it clear that this is not the type of campaigning [McCain] endorses."

In response, McCain's campaign called Hayworth's attack "desperate" and says it will not pull the ad.

We want to know what you think: should McCain pull the ad? Is Babeu the racist hate-monger the Hayworth campaign is making him out to be?

Vote -- and see the results of yesterday's poll -- below.

Yesterday's poll question: Is Broken Dam at Tempe Town Lake Freak-Out Worthy?
