If this lady is your grandmother, call the cops.
Once you hit a certain age, it's important to stay active.

While many of those in the twilight of their lives often opt for things like BINGO, bird watching, and knitting, a Pima County woman has taken up a different hobby: armed bank robbery.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Office, a woman, believed to be between the ages of 60 and 70 years old, went into the Bank of the West in the 3,000 block of South Kinney Road yesterday afternoon, flashed a piece, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash..

PCSO spokesman Jason Ogan tells New Times that about 3 p.m. yesterday, granny walked into the bank and presented the teller with a demand note.

Then she pulled out a gun. How the teller didn't burst out laughing, we don't know. Rather, the teller complied with the elderly robber's demands and handed over the cash.

The woman then left the bank and drove off in a in a white 2000 Hyundai Tiburon two-door coupe with a spoiler and dark-tinted windows.

The woman is described as a white female, about 5-foot-6, and, as we already mentioned, about 60 to 70 years old -- not sure we can highlight that fact enough.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Burns at the PCSO. His number is 520 351 4592.
