• <p>As shocking as it may be to some folks at the New Times, the people of Arizona don't want another Janet Napolitano for governor, even if this one is wearing trousers.</p> <p>Illegal immigration isn't a race. It's a criminal behavior. SB 1070 doesn't violate federal laws. It supports and enforces them.</p> <p>SB 1070 doesn't violate Constitutional authority of the federal government regarding immigration policy. The federal government's supremacy over immigration is strictly limited to: (1) a "determination of who should or should not be admitted into the country," and (2) "the conditions under which a legal entrant may remain."</p> <p>So a state can't start issuing or revoking visas, but that's about all it can't do.</p> <p>Manifestly, a state law about illegal immigrants has nothing to do with immigrants who enter legally or the conditions of their staying here. Illegal aliens have neither been "admitted into the country" nor are they "legal entrants."<br /> </p>

When the economy is good you say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. This too will pass, the real problem is the narcos, arms and people smugglers and that’s what the focus should be on. </p> <p>Today we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free. In a time of domestic crisis men of good will and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics and do what is right, not what is just popular with the majority. Some men comprehend discrimination by never have experiencing it in their lives, but the majority will only understand after it happens to them. </p>
