Morning Poll: Did Mesa's Python-Feeding Cat-Killer Get Off Easy?
We got word on Friday that a Mesa man who killed a kitten after trying to feed it to a python was sentenced after pleading guilty to one count of animal cruelty.
Jeremy Tuffly was sentenced to three years probation for killing a cat after a python wouldn't.
In one of the more despicable crimes against an animal we can remember, 28-year-old Jeremy Tuffly tried to feed a kitten to a python by repeatedly hurling the squirming kitty on to the back of the giant snake. When the python refused to kill the kitten, Tuffly killed it himself by kicking it across the backyard where he had staged the failed death match.
The sicko even had the balls to videotape his twisted game with mother nature, but that didn't stop Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Lisa Flores from sentencing him to only three years' probation.
