Can we expect to have coal fired generators in flag, Phx, Tucson and Yuma; I hope not. Deschene should be pushing for natural gas plants which have been proven to be cost effective. The industry just will not retool; they would return their investment dollars by an economy of scale. Think I will stick with Sam W. He has definitely exhibited more character than caving into polluters </p>

Given Arizona's history, there's a really good chance that the elected SOS could become Arizona's next Governor - that in itself is inkworthy!!! Sam Wercinski by far is the most qualified candidate who understands the real potential that the Secretary of State's office has for serving all of Arizona!</p>

• <p>It is amazing that Chris, a native American, contributes to the future and betterment of AZ is a firm union with coal and oil companies that exploit AZ natural beauty. How easy and cheap Chris was bought by these companies. One has to wonder what is the "favor" Chris owns in return for their polluted money? Arizona needs to reinstate INTEGRITY and freedom from corporate control beginning at the top. It appears the big hand of oil and gas has gotten a firm grasp on Chris - yikes! Sam Wercinski has shown as Commissioner of Real Estate he cannot be "bought"; integrity and pure honesty remains the substance of Sam. Hardworking, pounding the pavement for ALL of Arizona, NOT a lackey for coal and oil companies. Wile you are at it, check Chris voting participation record (poor and poorer)....don't elections and Secretary of State go hand-in-hand? </p>

• <p>Algae, Solar panels, wind, water, etc. aren't even close to delivering a tenth of the power that fossil fuels provide. What do you think that car you drive runs on? What does you think the power plant that provides your electricity runs on?</p> <p>By all means, invest money into the research and development of renewable energy technology so that one day we won't need to rely on fossil fuels. But putting up thousands of acres of wind farms that can't match up to our current energy needs is ridiculous. </p>

Chris is an enemy of the environment and a global warming denier (Google: AZ Daily Sun - "LD2 schools on top"), of global warming Chris remarked that '30 years ago people were worried about the cooling of the planet'. Chris' law firm represents a company wanting build ANOTHER coal power plant near the Navajo Nation - already home to the 3rd worst polluting coal plant in the US. The existing plant exposes Navajos to dangerously high levels of pollution, now Chris wants to bring MORE poisonous pollution to Arizona?</p> <p>Chris Deschene can deny global warming all he wants, but science trumps greed and ambition.</p>
