Arizona DPS Finds Marijuana in Georgia Man's Truck -- Lots of It

That's what 480 pounds of weed looks like.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officers made a substantial score last week, when they swiped more than 450 pounds of weed from a trucker from Georgia.

Officers found the weed after they stopped the truck on Interstate17 just north of Phoenix for an equipment violation and a safety inspection.

After police searched the rig, a police dog was called in for a more thorough search of the truck.

The pooch apparently has a nose for chronic because he found about 480 pounds of weed stashed in luggage within the truck's sleeper berth.

The driver of the truck, 35-year-old Tommy Lee Pinkins, of Moultrie, Georgia, was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on charges of possession and transportation of marijuana for sale and illegal control of an enterprise.

I don't know if this pinkins fellow is legal or not, but I'd bet he was doing business with an illegal "hispanic" in arizona. no explanation from the governor needed on that.
I think its funny,,, nobody has commented at this mans immigration status. Look, a criminal and he isn't hispanic or an illegal immigrant! Brewer explain this one!
Oh no! 450 lbs of non-harmful plant material, lets put this man in prison! Wake up. Legalize Cannabis for adult use, tax it if you have to, but stop putting people behind bars and away from their families, friends, and jobs over something as silly as a plant.. a harmless plant. God forbid it has side effects that include munchies and happiness.
Just like with alcohol, illegal marijuana trafficking should remain illegal. Legal sales to adults however are a different matter! What do we gain by preventing stores from selling marijuana beside alcohol and tobacco? We can do a far better job of keeping it away from kids by allowing stores to undercut the illegal suppliers and drive them out of the market. Make it Legal!
In other news, 50 tons of Marijuana safely made it to destinations across America last week. 450 Lbs is a drop in the bucket. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 runs Law Enforcement 0.25 Marijuana Smokers 50.00 This game will play out just like the rest of the games for the past 40 years. Law Enforcement always loses and we keep paying for dumb, shallow, idiotic policies.
That's a lotta luggage.
