Opponents of Arizona's controversial, new immigration law are probably saying one thing today: Dammit, Janet!

Former Arizona Governor and current Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano said during a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing yesterday that despite criticizing Arizona's new law, she hasn't actually read it.

"I have not reviewed it in detail. I certainly know of it," Napolitano said when asked by Senator John McCain whether she had read the bill.

Napolitano has been an outspoken critic of the statute since it was signed into law last month, so saying she hasn't even read the thing may pose a bit of a problem in the credibility department.

Previously, Napolitano called the bill "misguided" and said it would lead to racial profiling.

Napolitano isn't the first high-level critic in the Obama Administration to have not read the bill.

At a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, Attorney General Eric Holder admitted that he hadn't read the bill either.

Holder told lawmakers he had only "glanced" at the bill but would read it before determining whether it's constitutional.

Good idea, Eric.
