Arizona Diamondbacks Won't Have Many Tuning In Tonight as Series With Division Foe Colorado Gets Under Way

Thankfully for the Arizona Diamondbacks, tonight's game against the Colorado Rockies is up in Denver at beautiful Coors Field.

Almost exactly the same time as Rockies right-hander Jhoulys Chacin tosses his first pitch, the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers will tip off at US Airways Arena for the monster fourth game of their best-of-seven series (the Lakers lead 2-1, in case you've ventured off Planet Orange and missed Sunday's exciting Suns victory).

We hate to think how many would have been in attendance at Chase Field had this one been a home game.

Possibly as many vendors as spectators.

Wonder which game we will watch?

But, keepers of the faith that we are, we'll at least check in on the local boys during the evening.

Arizona, currently in last place in the NL West, five games below .500 with a 20-25 record.

Colorado has been just a tad better than the D-Backs so far, which isn't saying much.

But the Rockies have a terrific pitcher (scheduled to start tomorrow night) named Ubaldo Jimenez, who has been all but unhittable so far this season, already winning eight games while giving up less than one run per nine innings.

Tonight, surprising D-Backs starter Ian Kennedy will take the hill in search of his fourth victory of the still-youngish season. Kennedy actually could have two or three more wins had the team's funky bullpen come through.

For those of you who are interested, the baseball game will be on Channel 34, and on KTAR-FM (92.3) and KSUN-AM (1400). The Suns and Lakers game will start at 6 p.m. TV: TNT.

Go Suns! Whoops, we mean Diamondbacks....
