​Bret Michaels, the front man for the hair band Poison and reality TV whore star of shows like Rock of Love, Rock of Love 2, Rock of Love Bus, and Celebrity Apprentice, was recently discharged from a Phoenix hospital, his doctor announced today.

Michaels, as we reported last week, was rushed to a Valley hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage last month.

According to his doctor, who held a press conference this morning to give an update on the withered rock star's condition, Michaels was rushed to the hospital on April 21, after complaining of a severe headache.

He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital the next day, where he it was determined he suffered a brain hemorrhage.

The hemorrhage caused Michaels' speech to be slurred, but it has since returned to normal, the doctor says.

According to medical staff, Michaels is recovering and is in stable condition.

A pressing issue regarding Michaels' recovery, as we noted last week, is his flowing, blonde hair-plugs.

On April 1, Michaels and Pantene, a shampoo line owned by Proctor and Gamble, started a promotion they claim would create the first "reality hair star."

Contestants are asked to mail in one-minute videos of themselves, detailing why they should be the first "reality hair star," and the winner will appear in a Pantene TV ad and gets tickets to see Michaels perform, as well as a ride on his tour bus.

The contest is scheduled to conclude on May 25, but Michaels' health issues may derail the crowning of the first "reality hair star."

Pantene issued a statement saying no decision has been made about Michaels' participation in the project, but "we wish him a speedy recovery, and we're certainly hoping for the very best."

No word yet on whether Michaels' health will allow him to continue the promotion.
