​Chandler restaurant Iguana Mack's Roadhouse is battling the county to continue allowing dogs on its patio. Iguana Mack's is well known for its dog-friendly patio, but a Maricopa County Environmental Health inspector told it dogs are not allowed on the outdoor area. The owners of the restaurant say they're losing at least $1,000 a week because of the no-dog policy...Prescott police arrested a 72-year-old man for allegedly robbing a bank at gunpoint. Thomas Joseph Kohoutek is charged with three counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of kidnapping for reportedly robbing a Compass Bank branch inside a supermarket. He's being held in the Yavapai County Jail on $500,000 bond...A Surprise man was arrested after his gun discharged in a Wal-Mart store in El Mirage. According to police, David Walter, 30, was fidgeting with his handgun while purchasing a video game and accidentally fired a bullet into the ceiling. He was booked into the downtown Phoenix jail on six counts of endangerment and firing a weapon within city limits...

​An effort to completely ban smoking on the campus of Arizona State University has lost steam. Rather than approve a proposed campus-wide ban on smoking, the student senate voted Thursday to create "smoking zones" instead. Supporters of a complete ban said they are not giving up hope...A dog from Cave Creek has survived getting caught in a trap and shot in the head four times. Roscoe, a young charpei-shephard mix, was found by his owners last week, and they think a neighbor accidentally trapped him and then shot him to try to hide the body. Roscoe might lose his left eye, but is expected to recover...Avondale's Juan Lara Jr. was arrested this week for allegedly tattooing two underage girls in exchange for sex. Lara reportedly tattooed the girls at a home in Avondale, and police believe he specifically targeted underage victims. Lara has been charged with sexual conduct with a minor and tattooing a minor without parental consent.
