​The Mesa City Council has approved a new police chief for the city. On Monday, Commander Frank Milstead was formally hired. Milstead, who officially starts the job March 22, has 25 years of experience in supervising a major crimes bureau and homeland security...Tamara Hoffman, the Chandler teacher involved in a deadly love triangle involving two of her students, has surrendered her teaching credential. In April, one of her former students fatally stabbed fellow student Samuel Valdivia after reportedly finding Valdivia and Hoffman together at her home. Hoffman can apply for a new teaching certificate in five years...Tucson police arrested Jeffery Lynn Sexton, 32, after allegations that he sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy with special needs. Investigators say Sexton broke into the child's room through a window, assaulted him, and left. He faces charges of child molestation, sexual conduct with a minor, and burglary...

Tamara Hoffman has surrendered her teaching credentials.
​Robby Mayasich, an 18-year-old Brophy student  struck by a car Saturday while participating in a relay race along the roadside, may never recover. His father, Dan, wrote a letter to school officials, stating his son had a serious brain injury, and doctors say he has no chance of recovery. Mayasich was hit on Carefree Highway near Lake Pleasant, and has been in critical condition at St. Joseph's Hospital since the accident...A shooting broke at out a McDonald's near 50th Avenue and Cactus Road this morning. Officials say an adult man was shot and sent to the hospital. His identity and condition weren's immediately known...A survey of 100 North American business schools by the University of Texas at Dallas includes Arizona State University and University of Arizona. UA's Eller College of Management ranked 53rd, and ASU's business research program ranked 23rd. The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School was number one.
