Shirtless DUI Suspect Passes Out in Front of Cop During Stop

​If you're too fucked up to stay conscious when getting questioned by a cop, you're too fucked up to be driving a car, stupid.

A California man learned that lesson the hard way after passing out in front of a Yavapai County Sheriff's deputy when he was pulled over for speeding on a highway in northern Arizona.

Police in Yavapai County say a car containing Charles Burkdoll, 26, and Marjorie Calvin, 33, from Concord and San Ramon, California, respectively, was stopped on US Route 93 last week.

Burkdoll, shirtless but wearing a Bud Light wristband at about 1:30 in the afternoon Wednesday, was asked to step out of the vehicle to speak with the officer.

Burkdoll told the cop that he had been smoking weed and snorting cocaine, right before he requested the officer let him sit down because he was "spinning."

Burkdoll was allowed to sit, but after a little while, he was asked to stand back up.

That's when Burkdoll passed out right in front of the cop..

The officer on the scene called for paramedics but was able to revive Burkdoll before they arrived.

Police searched the car Burkdoll was driving, which belonged to Calvin, and found about three grams of cocaine and three grams of weed.

The pair admitted that the cocaine belonged to Burkdoll and the weed to Calvin but said each had been using both drugs and Burkdoll had been drinking, too, before he was pulled over.

Needless to say, the pair were arrested, and Burkdoll was charged with DUI greater than .08, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Calvin was charged with possession of marijuana, narcotics, and paraphernalia.

Burkdoll and Calvin were booked into Yavapai County Jail but have been released on bond.
