The Mummy Bandit
After coming up with a bunch of the dumbest bandit names we'd ever heard, the FBI's bandit-naming department has finally hit the nail on the head with the name of the latest bank-robbing buffoon.

The federal fuzz is currently looking for "The Mummy Bandit" -- the man they believe is responsible for a bank robbery in the West Valley in late January.

The FBI says that the suspect hobbled into the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union branch at 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road on January 30, decked out with crutches and bandages covering his entire face, hands, and his left foot, as you can see in the above photo.

The "Mummy" demanded money from a bank teller, and once it was in his hands, he dropped the crutches and made his escape, the FBI claims.

The cops aren't saying how much money the costumed crook actually took, but it must be a lot because the bank is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

The suspect is described as a 23-to-30-year-old black man standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 170-180 pounds. Witnesses told police that he had a yellow, jaundiced eyes.

Anyone with any information about the "Mummy Bandit" is asked to call the FBI or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
