Barack Obama's Medical Checkup Resurrects Obama Cig Photo Used by Arizona GOP
The latest smoking diagnosis is now giving pundits a chance to pull out an allegedly doctored photo of the president blowin' down a cig while on the campaign trail in 2008.
The photo in question, which can be seen above, was originally taken by a man named Kwame Ross, while the president was running for the Senate in Illinois in 2004.
The original photo just shows a rather rundown Obama, without a cigarette dangling out of his mouth. Check it out after the jump.

It was unclear at the time whether the photo was legit or if it was a hoax, but that didn't stop the Arizona Republican Party from further popularizing it by running it on its AZGOP Web site last August, with the caption: "Broken promises, rampant government spending, and Chicago-style politics have marred the first 200 days of the Obama Presidency, according to Arizona Republican Chairman Randy Pullen."
The Arizona GOP's use of the doctored photo, which could previously only be found in seedy sections of the Internet, drummed up some criticism from the national media. Check it out here.
The photo isn't the most glamorous picture ever taken of the president, but doctoring the photo to include a cigarette dangling out of his mouth makes him look more like a crack addict lookin' for rock than the leader of the free world.
Obama's trip to the doctor yesterday gave the Fox Nation a chance to re-publish the faux-photo on its Web site. Check it out here.
Publishing a doctored photo of the Democratic president that makes him look like a haggard drug addict doesn't sound all that "fair and balanced" if you ask us.
