A controversial bill that would allow faculty to carry guns on campuses has advanced in Arizona.
According to Senator Jack Harper, who introduced the bill, his proposal would deter gunmen from opening fire on Arizona campuses. A preliminary committee voted 5-2 to approve the bill, and it now goes to the House Committee of the Whole for a vote...Another controversial bill, one that would allow motorcyclists to weave through traffic, will be debated at the Arizona House today.
Sponsored by Republican Representative Jerry Weiers of Glendale, the bill already has cleared two committees in the House. If it becomes law, motorcyclists would be allowed to pass vehicles in the same lane during traffic jams.
