"Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase's arrogant claims throughout the 1980s and 90s that he could buy his way into professional wrestling immortality may have come true.

It was announced the other day that the bad-guy wrestler will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at a ceremony at the Dodge Theater in downtown Phoenix.

Dibiase's charactar was best known for paying people to do demeaning things and for just flat out being an asshole. He was the quintessential "bad-guy" wrestler who once paid a young Rob Van Dam to kiss his foot.

One of the Million Dollar Man's funnier performances came when he invited a young kid into the ring and promised him $500 if he could bounce a basketball 15 times. When the kid got to 14 bounces, DiBiase kicked the ball away and sent the kid home empty-handed.

Part of DiBiase's act included his "bodyguard," Virgil.

Virgil, who is Black, seemed to be treated by DiBiase as little more than a (paid) slave. Virgil would follow DiBiase around and perform humiliating tasks like rubbing his feet.

The ceremony for DiBiase's induction is scheduled for March 27, the day before Wrestmania XXVI is to be held at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. It is expected that DiBiase's son, current WWE star Ted DiBiase Jr. will induct his pops into the hall.
