John McCain to Go On the Record With Greta Van Susteren Tonight

In the words of AC/DC "keep a stiff upper lip"

John McCain is taking to Fox News tonight to go On the Record With Greta Van Susteren and talk about underwear bombs, gays in the military, and supposedly everything in between.

"The maverick" is in a conservative showdown with former Arizona Congressman J.D. Hayworth, so perhaps an appearance on America's most "fair and balanced" network wouldn't hurt.

Van Susteren and her surgically enhanced stiff upper lip, will probably lob up a few conservative softballs for Arizona's senior senator to crush out of the park, but we're anxious to see McCain's rationale for his stance on the president's proposal to end the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

Yesterday, McCain argued that the policy had been effective and expressed disappointment that Defense Secretary Robert Gates was calling for a study on the best way to end the policy.

McCain says the study is biased because it implies that the policy should be changed.

Umm, no shit, John. That's the point.

You can catch "The Maverick" and the permanently bright-eyed Greta Van Susteren tonight on the Fox News Channel at 8 p.m. our time.

It'd be so nice to see McCain retired; don't know if JD Hayworth is the right man to do so; but, since he's the one challenging "Yosemite Sam" I have already sent Hayworth's campaign a contribution; he's going to need the help, because McCain has the backing of the (R) regulars; as Palin and the guy from MA has already been recruited to do their duty.
I believe that Senator McCain is responsible for a lot of your illegal immigration in your state, the lawlessness and loss of jobs. Take a look around you. go to CA and see how they have ruined that state. If I were living in your state I would vote for J.D.
Dear Senator McCain: Watching your interview with Gretta tonight 2/3/10. She asked you "what are you going to do about the record spending"?? You, like the Democrats, danced around the inquiry. You spoke to the horrendous consequences of the deficit spending and how our grand-children would have to carry the burden.... The question was "What are you going to do about it(the record deficit spending) ??? Why can't anyone in D.C. answer a simple f------ question??? I work, pay taxes and am a concerned American. I have no respect for the present administration nor the establishment afflicted by Potomac fever. Why can't I hear from a leader of the Republican party in response to Gretta's question---"I'm going to use all the resources available to me to fight this socialist agenda, I'm going to address this issue with all Americans and fight like hell to defeat this effort by the Obama administration to take the United States to the way of life that deprives Americans...." the opportunity you and I were provided when we were young. I know why nobody in D.C. is listening or really cares....I worked for the Reagan White House and I saw the Royal treatment all came to believe was deserved. I saw the detachment of those in authority....but I didn't want to see you respond to Gretta tonight the way you did. Massechussets has been telling and I believe the revolution will come from the Independent voters----and you know what??? The revolutionaries will have the same vigor, insight and spirit to bring our country back to the Liberties promised and from which we will again become the leading flame of freedom and justice in the world once again. You should be on board with this vision, dispell your arrogance and rekindle your love of this country and the priciples for which you have in the past so valiantly fought for and tried to preserve.
