Rapper Lil Wayne Busted With Weed -- Again
Grammy winning rapper Lil Wayne, despite awaiting a probable one-year jail sentence for gun charges in New York, a trial for drug and gun charges in Arizona, and coming off the heals of a small brawl in a Phoenix parking lot, was detained by police yet again Friday in Texas.
Border patrol agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint stopped Wayne's tour bus Friday afternoon, before he was scheduled to perform in Laredo, Texas, and guess what they found -- weed.
Imagine that?
Wayne and 11 members of his "entourage" were detained after a drug dog sniffed out the chronic, hidden in a small box on one the rapper's tour busses.
The weed, police say, was not even enough to warrant charges, but there was enough to detain him, forcing him to postpone his show.
Wayne was not charged, released, and performed the following night.
Wayne was arrested in Arizona in January, 2008, when police found a quarter-pound of marijuana, an ounce of cocaine, and 41 grams of Ecstasy on his tour bus as he and his entourage tried to go through a border patrol checkpoint. He is currently set to stand trial in March.
First, however, the troublesome rapper will be sentenced in New York in February for gun charges stemming from a 2007 incident, where cops found a gun on his tour bus.
Here's a "lil" advice for the "lil" rapper: Stop bringing illegal shit on your tour bus!
