• <p>To "Rap Sucks": I seriously cannot stand those who direct prideful arrogance towards those who listen to rap. First of all, using Lil Wayne to say all rap is stupid is like using Paris Hilton to say all Blondes are stupid. I listen to rap more than just about anything else but only the positive ARTISTS like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common and Lupe Fiasco etc. I have found that some rap music is more intelligent than most of other genres songs. Commercial rap (Crap) and the concious rap (which is rarely found on the charts) are often TOTALLY different. To find the good things in rap you need to ignore the charts and the mainstream trash. Outsiders to the hip hop world usually never hear of the positive artists and many of those inside choose not to listen. And to others who would shout "racist" yes, I am black.</p>

• <p>Well now I know why this guy does just blogs and isn't a columnist for the New York Times. Lil Wayne is by far my favorite artist. I also rarely listen to music outside of the rap genre, yet I am able to write a legible and coherent paragraph that illustrates how blind, arrogant, and mis-informed this author is. And rap does not create stupid. Stupid creates stupid. Misleading articles such as this do nothing but reinforce the mental retardation that you seem to think all rap fans share. </p>
