Steve Nash: 35 is the new 25.
One of the big questions about the Phoenix Suns heading into this season was: Did 35-year-old Steve Nash have enough left in the tank to carry the Suns like the Nash of old? On Tuesday night, the former league MVP certainly had plenty in the tank as he sparked a crazy second-half rally in the Suns' 104-96 win over the Miami Heat in Miami.

Nash was positively Nash-ian on Tuesday: He penetrated, he dashed, he dished, he launched three-pointers, he appeared tireless and fluid. By the end, the fan favorite had 30 points and eight assists (he even pulled down three rebounds) as the Suns improved to 4-0 for the first time since the 62-win 2004-05 season.

Just one week into the season, the Suns are one of three remaining unbeaten teams in the NBA. (The Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets are the other two.) In the third quarter, Nash scored 17 of his 30 points, setting the tone for a dominant second half in which the Suns outscored the Heat 60-44.

The Suns have to be feeling good about themselves today. Tuesday night's game in Miami was the first of five East Coast road games in seven days -- a nasty little test for the Suns to begin a season in which many considered them, at best, a bubble team in terms of making the playoffs this season. And though the Heat isn't among the Eastern Conference's elite, it does have one of the league's best players, Dwyane Wade, so a road win against the Heat is nothing to scoff at.

The competition will get stiffer tonight against the Orlando Magic, a team that is one of the East's elite. Led by center Dwight Howard and guard Vince Carter, the Magic enters tonight's game 3-1 after getting bumped Tuesday night by the Pistons in Detroit.

Tip-off is 5 p.m. TV: My45 (cable 9). Radio: KTAR-AM 620. More info: nba.com/suns
