Coyotes Get Scored on Twice in Seven Seconds, and People Wonder Why Attendance Sucks

Categories: Sports
The Phoenix Coyotes made history last night in Edmonton, and like many Coyotes milestones, it's not good history.

During the team's 4-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers, the Coyotes managed to get scored on twice in seven seconds. For anyone unfamiliar with hockey, two goals happening that fast is almost impossible.
The last time two goals were scored that fast by the same team was 1995, when Winnipeg Jets defenseman Deron Quint scored twice in four seconds.

The last time the Oilers scored two goals even close to that fast was in 1982, when Wayne Gretzky and Glenn Anderson each scored within eight seconds of each other.

The Coyotes dropped two of three to the Oilers on their trip to Edmonton, and are yet to win back-to-back games this month.

However, look at it this way: Considering the team is more than likely moving north of the border at the end of the season, they might as well get some experience losing in Canada.
