ASU Cornerback Arrested on Assault Charge and Suspended From Team

As if Saturday's loss to USC wasn't enough, ASU's secondary is now in trouble -- legal trouble.

ASU cornerback Terell Carr was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of three different misdemeanors.
Probably not coincidentally, the arrest came the same day that ASU coach Dennis Erickson announced that Carr had been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.

Police have offered few details about the arrest, but Carr faces charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license, disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting, and assault.

More importantly, who the hell is gonna play cornerback this week?

Coach Erickson confirmed yesterday that Omar Boldin, ASU's other star cornerback, is out for the season with a knee injury, which leaves the pickens awfully slim.

What the Sun Devils have left is: Average-at-best Pierre Singfield, Deveron Carr, who is yet to play in a collegiate game, and Lequan Lewis, who is more realistically an average wide receiver.

Nonetheless, Carr was booked into the Maricopa County Jail, and the Sun Devils head north this weekend to take on Oregon.
