​Larry Johnson, a former executive at the Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale, has written a book titled Frozen. In the book, Johnson writes that employees at Alcor mishandled baseball legend Ted Williams' head, with one employee taking baseball-like swings at Williams' frozen head with a monkey wrench...The Turf Paradise horse racing track reopens today after extensive remodeling. Among the renovations are new grass turf, a new dirt track, and a spa for the horses...Vivian Kelly, whom Valley police were seeking as a kidnap victim, has been found safe. Kelly's boyfriend reported the kidnapping after the couple accepted a ride home from a bar. The driver dropped off the boyfriend but drove off with Kelly. Police now say it appears Kelly willingly went with the driver...

​A Mesa man was arrested after a woman came home early Friday morning to find him asleep on her couch. The man, Tommy Reece Jr., reportedly ate some Ho-Hos before dozing off. Reece told police he'd been drinking and entered the wrong house by mistake...A Queen Creek man was arrested yesterday after his daughter-in-law called police to report he'd molested two children. Harold Whittle, 61, was  previously arrested in Utah in 2005 for "lascivious acts" against a child in his neighborhood...Macerich, a holding company for various Valley shopping centers, has sold a 49.9 percent stake in Chandler Fashion Center. The buyer was Heitman LLC of Chicago, which paid Macerich $168 million for its joint venture interest.
