Phoenix police released a sketch today of the man they believe beat and robbed a 90-year-old woman in her Phoenix home over the weekend.

On October 10, police say a man broke into the woman's South 12th Street home by going through an unlocked kitchen window.

The man grabbed the woman around the neck and forced her into a bedroom, where he pushed her onto a bed, breaking her clavicle.

The man told the woman that if she stopped screaming, he would let her go and proceeded to ransack her house for the next hour.

He then stole her 1994 Lexus, which was later recovered at an apartment complex in the area.

Sounds like a real charmer.

Here is the description provided by the Phoenix Police Department: Black male, 30-35 years old, 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-5, 160 -180 pounds, stocky build, light complexion, dark eyes, clean shaven, and a pronounced Southern accent. Last seen wearing a multi-colored bandana on his head, dark shirt, dark pants, and tan shoes with soft sole.

Anyone who recognizes the sketch or has any information that may help police is encouraged to call Silent Witness at 480 WITNESS.
