Police Looking For Iraqi Man Who Ran Over His Daughter for Being Too "Westernized"
|Police are looking for this man, 48-year-old Faleh Hassan Almaleki, who they say ran over his own daughter Tuesday|
On Tuesday, 48-year-old Faleh Hassan Almaleki ran over his daughter, Noor Faleh Almaleki, 20, police say, in a parking garage at an Arizona Department of Economic Security in Peoria.
The Almalekis are natives of Iraq, and police say the father was angry that the daughter was not following traditional Iraqi customs and becoming too westernized.
The daughter has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Also injured in the incident was the daughter's friend, 43-year-old Amal Edan Khalaf, who was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are looking for help in locating Faleh Almaleki, who was last seen driving a grey or silver 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Arizona license ADS-9192).
Anyone with any information about Almaleki's whereabouts are asked to call Peoria police.
