Photo-Radar "Monkey" Was Cited at Least 90 Times in Last Year

Police believe the man behind the monkey mask is speeding sensation Dave Vontesmar

Yesterday we reported that a man wearing a monkey mask to evade speed cameras was ticketed 37 times for speeding.

Turns out that's just how many tickets police handed Dave Vontesmar. The number of tickets he actually earned is epic.

Department of Public Safety officials say he has actually racked up more than 90 citations in the past year.

Let's put that into perspective: To get 90 speeding tickets a year, this guy had to get a ticket roughly every four days for an entire year.

Is that a crime, or a world record?

Thank you Monkeyman!!! Keep up the good work. There is nothing in the law books that states anything about photo radar. And it does say a arresting officer has to give you the ticket by each ticket without admitting guilt before court. You sign by promising to appear in court to take care of the situation. Monkeyman is doing the American people a favor by declaring the state is fraudulent in their lawlessness. If I had the time I would join him in proving those leaders are cause for impeachment/ We will see after the voting in November. IF THE PEOPLE VOTE AGAINST PHOTO RADAR, AND STATE SAY OTHERWISE TO THE VOTERS, I DECLARE IMPEACHMENT AGAINST THOSE MISREPRESENTATIVES!!!!

Watch out for these "so-called" surveys that say some great number of people are FOR photo radar. Most of these are paid for by the owners of these cameras.Photo Radar has NEVER survived a public vote in this country. All one has to see is how many people slow down 10 MPH or more below the speed limit when approaching the cameras. There is some serious mistrust of the credibility of these cameras to make drivers react like this. Remember these are the same people who will be VOTING on the issue next November. Does Photo radar Really have a chance?

Hats off to you Monkeyman! Thanks for bringing so much attention to Photo Radar Fraud in Arizona. We all know this is being done in the name of safety, yet a person can have an unlimited number of citations and still have no points on his/her license and still get the lowest insurance rate. They don't want to pull our licenses because they want to keep us on the road to give us more tickets. It is fraud-plain and simple. Don't forget to VOTE on this next November! It should be interesting.
This man should be thrown in jail ! How dare him abuse the highways of Arizona ! He is a menace and a threat to society and should be treated as such. His employer should rake him over the coals for this for showing utter disregard to society's rules and regulations.
Greetings from sunny Arizona! I am Dave VonTesmar, owner of the Speed Monkey Subaru that is almost famous in Phoenix. I would like to let all the readers of this blog know that this vehicle has never been operated in an unsafe and reckless manner by me or anyone else, despite what the AZ DPS spokespeople would like you to believe. I have an excellent driving record and have for more than 30 years. I am a friend of the badge with a 21 year Federal Law Enforcement career. I also have friends that still work with DPS and other Arizona agencies. Photo Radar (an incorrect term) is not Law Enforcement. The DPS spokesperson(s) are on record as stating that they just want me to pay the fines. These are the same sworn officers that allege that they followed me and saw me commit these violations and yet, did not stop the vehicle at that time. They allowed me (or whomever was driving) to continue up the road. Why? Because this vehicle was most likely being operated in a safe and prudent fashion based on the existing conditions. They waited almost a month to come to my workplace to personally deliver the photo tickets. Not exactly protecting the citizens of Arizona against a reckless and dangerous driver are they? 95% of these tickets were for operating this vehicle with the safe flow of traffic. The most egregious violation was for approximately 14 miles over, (their wording, not mine). The posted speed limits are arbitrary and in no relation to highway safety. It is convenient that these cameras are placed where the posted limit goes from 65 to 55 on a 4 lane highway designed for 85. Once again, I am not thumbing my nose at law enforcement nor allowing this vehicle to be operated in a dangerous manner. My family and friends drive on these same highways, (sometimes in my car) and I would never jeopardize their safety nor my own. In closing, Drive Safe, just like I do.
We will see how cute he is when he kills someone or himself....then the police will be sued for not getting this menace to public safety OFF the road. We all share the roads and we are expected to engage with our society...not thumb our noses and laugh!
DPS is complicit in this by not pulling him over. Why not pull him over and ask for ID? Photo enforcement is a joke. Dave hasn't even been served yet.
Quit demeaning the monkeys by wearing that mask. We ought to throw him in a chimp cage with that thing on and let the simians have their way with him! We'll find out how fast he can really go! What an asshole!
If the moving violation happened in Scottsdale -- Scottsdale Po Po would of had this guy behind bars!
This is what goes on when Big Brother takes over. Some people aren't going to stand by and be steamrolled over. Arizona is so used to going along with whatever enforcement does to them, the individuals in Arizona have lost their rights. Good luck, Monkey Face, in court! At least there is someone left with some spunk!
