Someone in the Valley Won the Lottery, and They Don't Even Know it

Someone in the Valley just won a ton of money, and they probably don't even know it.

The Arizona State Lottery is looking for the person who bought a powerball ticket at the gas station of the Safeway store at 5810 West Thunderbird Road in Glendale for the February 18 drawing.

The total prize amount is $200,000, and according to the lottery office, it's not uncommon for prizes to go unclaimed. In the past fiscal year alone, there's been more than $9 million in unclaimed lottery winnings.

If you picked the numbers 2 - 15 - 39 - 44 - 56, you have until 5 p.m. today to get yourself down to the lottery office in Phoenix and claim your cash (sorry for the short notice).

Given the fact that there is a lot of money on the line here, if you have a grandparent who played powerball, and happened to kick the bucket around February 18, there is no shame in combing through his or her stuff in search of the ticket.

Just look at is as a reimbursement for all those $10 birthday checks you never cashed.
