Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas just announced grand jury indictments against Johnathan Hock, a Phoenix man accused of raping a woman live on the Internet.

Hock, 20, has been indicted on two counts of sexual assault and one count of voyeurism. Police believe he raped the unconscious woman on February 26 while airing video of the attack on the Internet. She found out only after friends told her they'd watched a replay, resulting in Hock's June 1 arrest.

The story made headlines from Washington D.C. to Great Britain.

The crime "rightly shocked the community," says Thomas in a prepared statement.

He's talking about the Phoenix-area community, of course -- not the online community, which posts stuff every day that would make Caligula blush.
