Funds for Andrew Thomas' Anti-Illegal-Immigrant Efforts Blocked by County Supervisors; Sheriff Smears Mary Rose Wilcox With Unnamed Allegations

Infighting by Maricopa County officials worsened today with a storm of insults and budget-cutting.

Earlier today, County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox and Don Stapley voted against allowing County Attorney Andrew Thomas' office to receive $1.4 million in state funding for enforcement against illegal immigrants. The votes blocked the funds in a 2-2 vote, with Fulton Brock and Andrew Kunasek going the other way.

Max Wilson, the Board of Supervisors' fifth member, was absent for the vote. The Business Journal says Wilson had been sick "and the matter could be revisited," while Channel 5 (KPHO-TV) implies Stapley will change his vote.

In April, Wilson and Brock had joined Wilcox and Stapley in voting to
postpone Arpaio's receipt of $1.6 million in funds for
anti-illegal-immigrant enforcement. The Supervisors later voted -- with
the exception of Wilcox -- to approve the funds.

Also today, media outlets detailed a new request for public records by the sheriff's office -- one of the favorite new political tactics of Arpaio and Thomas. This one is directed at Wilcox's business dealings. Arpaio says his criminal investigation "goes beyond" [the Biz Journal's words -- not a direct Arpaio quote] her business leases.

His statements appear to be more of the same kind of intimidation county officials have been complaining about. When did the police start making very public records requests and bragging about sweeping criminal investigations that haven't produced anything yet? Isn't it another conflict of interest for Arpaio and Thomas to investigate Wilcox, an outspoken political opponent?

At least they gave Stapley the dignity of being indicted.

These politicians have so many law suits and are playing so many games it seems we are watching a Circus. But WAIT! What goes unmentioned is how these same games are being played out upon the average citizen in Maricopa County as well. Vindictive and out of control politicians are dangerous for every citizen in their district. Hard to believe but the more people these puke politicians can pull into their webs the higher the numbers for their personal statistics. To them this means they are doing their jobs. To the rest of the nation it seems ridiculous. To We the People in Arizona it has become dangerous! The King has no clothes but so far we believe that he does! Innocent people have been and are the targets of these politicians as well! Wake up Arizona Citizens, you could be next on their list.
Every illegal alien working in these service industries or construction, manufacturing, etc. is using a fraudulent SSN and filed a fraudulent I-9, W-4, etc. In other words 7-8 million illegal aliens are committing ID fraud. They may be using your SSN or your child's SSN. So what harm does that do??? The IRS will come looking for you asking why you are filing two tax returns or they will want to know why you didn't report all the income you made. Don't forget that your income will now include the illegal aliens earnings, so you will be responsible for paying any taxes he owes. Many illegals file tax returns for the sole purpose of claiming Earned Income Credit (EIC), so you can expect the IRS to question that as well. And don't forget to check your credit report to see how much other damage they've done to you there. Those who come here illegally, steal our IDs and ignore our laws have already demonstrated they lack the honesty and decency to ever become American citizens.
Does anyone remember back when Maricopa Citizens for Safety and Accountability was trying to convince the county Board of Supervisers to use their power of the purse-strings to rein in Uncle Joe Arpaio's racial profiling sweeps and other excesses? Does anyone remember their shoulder-shrugging response, claiming that they couldn't tell an elected official how to spend his money? Now this. Maicopa county has not become a joke. Most Americans wish their corrupt politicians would follow Arpaios example and enforce the countries immigration laws. Third would immigration contributes to the decline in education. California once ranked #1 in education 40 years ago prior to the immigration changes in 1965. Now that it is overun with 3rd world immigrants it ranks #47.
Ooh. Don't let that Stapley vote fool you. If channel5(KPHO-TV) assertions could be accurate, given the copious history of the girly-men on the board, all known for their sniveling suck-ups to arpaio. They just love that antiquated loon whose retaliatory agenda on the board is laughable. Just laughable. Who takes the dubious arpaio investiagation seriously, anyway??? Don Stapley is still a free man, Wilcox's inquiries would be no different. I believed her when she said she isn't afraid of arpaio(or his bogus investigations). Those Republifoolish dudes sure are weak, aren't they? Btw, I think its about time that Jan Brewer becomes a Dem. Since she is being attacked by a mob of angry GOPsuckers. Seems to me, that the Natavists got a another Democrat Gov. Just like the Napster was an in-closet Republican. Jan Brewer is an in-closet Dem.
Maricopa County has become the biggest joke in American thanks to Bozo Joe Arpaio and Candy Dandy Thomas. It continually amazes me how stupid people are here that continue to re-elect these morons. It's obvious why Arizona always ranks at the bottom of education.
I think they should uphold the rule of law and govern by the rules set forth by the United States Constitution, as they swore they would with their oaths of office. Back in the sixties the government came into the schools and brainwashed us with the idea we needed to control the population because it was rising so fast. They said the roads would become crowded and we would run out of things like water. They unleashed abortions, birth control pills, and other forms of Family Planning. To allow the country to be over run with the criminals in businesses illegal labor while the criminals in the government aid and abet the invasion is a travesty against mankind. They have seen to it our children were killed to control the population at the same time allowing the world to export their population problems here. What about our sacrifices, many made against our will? P.S. We still haven't recovered from the last time the criminals in business were allowed to bring in their slaves.
