Earlier today, the tweets coming from the state's largest newspaper chirped about various government goings-on, as usual:
Court concludes its hearing with requests to both sides for how they would have court rule, and the legal reason why.

Then the site got hacked and began pumping out dozens of messages like these:
Clicking on those links takes you to a site like this:

We'll take a wild guess here and assume that the Repub had an easy-to-guess password that someone figured out.
If that's the case, it may be a while before the newspaper gains control of its tweets.
UPDATE: The Republic started a new Twitter account, azcinsider, and put up this message:
Our old site, @azinsider has been taken over by aliens. If Twitter cannot restore it, this will be our state Capitol/AZ politics news site.
