An SUV collided with a light rail train Wednesday night at 7th Avenue and Camelback. The  crash sent another car careening over the barrier, but no one was hurt, and light rail continues to run as usual...Chandler fire crews battled a two-acre palm tree fire near Brooks Farms and Tower Road yesterday. No structures were damaged, and a spokesman for the Chandler fire department says a cause for the blaze has not been determined yet...National Bank of Arizona has partnered with SolarCity and First Solar Inc. to build a massive rooftop solar system for its carports and headquarters. The 222-kilowatt system is said to be enough to power 20 to 30 homes...Phoenix Coyotes owner Jerry Moyes is headed to court today for a hearing on the Coyotes' bankruptcy and subsequent takeover by the NHL. If the court rules that the NHL takeover was legal, it would allow NHL commissioner Gary Bettman to try and cut a deal to keep the team in Glendale. If the ruling goes the other way, it could leave the door open for bidders like Canadian billionaire Jim Basillie to buy (and possibly move) the team...The owner of the Estate Watch and Jewelry Company in Scottsdale chased down a would-be thief and tackled him, recovering a ring worth $9,000 and then letting the suspect go. The suspect, Douglas Vigil, was later arrested by police...The former publicist for Michael Jackson is suing the pop star for $44 million, saying  he never paid her for her services.  A spokesman for Jackson couldn't be reached for comment.
