A retired police chief from Montana racked up six perfect games of bowling during his league season in Sun City West.

Greg Waldon, who retired last year from the Belgrade Police Department and bowls in a pro senior circuit, accomplished the feat in three different leagues between September and April at the RH Johnson Lanes. A local West-side news outlet broke the story, but we called the bowling alley just to be sure we read right.

Carol Halton, an employee at RH Johnson, confirmed Waldon's big scores.

"It's truly amazing," Halton says. "He got all kinds of awards for doing that."

Bowling even one perfect game in a lifetime is rare, she says. Indeed, one Web site we found claims the odds of an "adult male" bowling a perfect game is 11,500 to one, though we're not sure how they came up with that. For us, it's definitely more than a billion to one.
