John McCain and Wife Cindy's Former Mansion for Sale!

OK, so after today's financial news, you might not be in the market for a mansion. But if you are, you're in luck! An ad in yesterday's Arizona Republic announced that on October 25, the "former home of Sen. John & Cindy McCain" will be auctioned.

It's the onetime central Phoenix digs of the GOP presidential nominee and family -- they moved not long ago to a luxury condo, and the house has since been remodeled, according to The Larsen Company, the group conducting the auction.

You can only tour the place by appointment, but here's the description of the home at 7110 N. Central Avenue:

"This gracious, private residence is gated and secure on a sprawling 2.7 acre estate lot. The home features 15,000 sq. ft., 13 bedrooms, 14.5 baths and 7 car garage. Extensively enlarged and remodeled in Old World design. This home is perfect for a private residence or corporate retreat."

Wow. This is obviously one of those houses he couldn't remember he had. Must be nice...to own so many houses you loose count. Millions of people in this country loosing their houses and their jobs and McCain has so many...he can't keep track of them all. And what did he say about the economy TWO WEEKS AGO????? He said "it's fine". Right.
when this aired on TV 2 or 3 month ago, the agent states at the end (which cnn leaves off)that the McCains sold this house over ten yrs ago, and the present owners are that ones selling it.
The Lens Crafters model could move into the Naval Observatory and........... observe her navel! Or maybe watch her promiscuious children a bit better. Or better yet, stay in Alaska and do us all a great big favor. Go Obama!!
This, in part, explains why Cindy McCain has never lived in Washington during the twenty two years John has been a Senator. I was wondering if she'd relent and actually live in the White House. We know Palin would continue to live in Wasilla and "Blackberry" commute, though don't we? Why would she want to move into the Naval Observatory anyway? She could observe her naval while in Alaska
CNN has a video on this, and you have to listen carefully to realize that it is NOT the McCain's selling the mansion, but the NEW OWNERS. All that gaudy furniture and trappings was added by the new owners, not the McCains. I am an Obama supporter, but I think the way this is being reported is unfair to McCain. They are doing this video tour and making it sound like all this gaudy junk belongs to the McCains (It is decorated in turn-of-the-millenium new money gaudy). Your article, at least, makes it clear that the NEW OWNERS are selling it (that toxic ARM must have kicked in!) and that it was extensively remodeled by the new owners. Yes, John McCain had a nice house. But the house for sale on the CNN video is not his house, nor it is in the configuration he had it in. What was added by the new owners is not made clear. Why does the media try to blur the boundries to make a good story?

Wow, but I wonder what kind of place the elite, McCain is always railing against live in.

McCain's first wife, you know the one that slaved to free him from Vietnam while raising his three kids, the one that he tossed over when he got back because she had a nasty limp from her car accident and had gained weight, the one he serially cheated on, while married, because he found the former beauty queen 'appalling', the one that he was still married to when he got his marriage license to wed Cindy McCain the fabulously wealthy heiress with a father with political connections. Well she.... and this is the funny part... still lives in a crappy bungalow in Virginia Beach. That McCain is such wonderful and decent character - a commoner like the rest of us. I hope he doesn't have to pay too much tax on this property when he pockets another fortune.
Don't most people have a house like this? I know Rush Limbaugh does, Sean Hannity would be a good buyer for this place as would any of the FoxNews all stars, especially Bill O'Reilly. It reminds me of the bible: "Blessed are the wealthy, they have such nice homes"

Heard they put it for sale- since the airspace over his house might become Restricted if he becomes President and there's a world famous flight and aerospace university within its vicinity- Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott Campus)...

My wife saw a couple pics of this house on a tv show and could only say wow. It looks great from what I've seen. Mrs. McCain comes from money so you would expect that they would have a great home.
