Black Sabbath -- that is, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler, for the moment -- have been teasing a summer tour of North America for weeks, and when they finally announced the full tour on Thursday it came with an August 30 performance in Phoenix, at US Airways Center. The tour celebrates Ozzy's return to the band and the forthcoming release of their first album in nearly 20 years, June's 13.

Tickets on sale Saturday, May 4; the Western leg of the tour after the jump.

So, should you go see Black Sabbath? You probably already know the answer for yourself, but if (somehow) you haven't made up your mind on the heavy-metal-defining band, gauge your response to the following press release sentence (bolding original): "On the new album, due out June 11, the band that defined heavy metal picks up immediately where they left off with eight sprawling songs (five of them are over eight minutes)..."

August 24: Seattle, WA

August 26: San Francisco, CA

August 28: Irvine, CA

August 30: Phoenix

September 1: Las Vegas, NV

September 3: Los Angeles, CA

Ozzy Osbourne hasn't toured with the band -- now looping through Australia on the first leg of the tour -- since 2005.
